Rockwell Poster
The average person may not be aware of the type family Rockwell. Even if they are do they really spend that much time thinking about it? probably not. So in order to give this amazing font family the credit it deserves and raise awareness of its versatility and style, I created a kick ass poster that would stand out even in the busiest locations. The illustrated lumberjack is a modern reference to how the font was originally created in 1934.
The wood cut font family has a retro feel that is fun to mix with modern illustration and has a place in design still today. The viewer is drawn in to learn about Rockwell through the use of color, size and illustration, which also spark fresh ideas on how Rockwell can be used.
His tattoo is an ode to his old friend and Rockwell’s creator, Frank Hinman Pierpont.
His flannel is made up of the finest Egyptian slab serif you can find
His beard transforms into a river flowing with personality and a perfect pangram of phrases that only he could truly comprehend. The river carves into the mountains, the teal locks contrasting the orange sunset reflecting on some rocking retro vibes. His aesthetic is an exciting blend of modern illustration and vintage type.
